He grew suspicious when she grinned like a Cheshire cat, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"What have you been up to, imp?"  

"Me? Absolutely nothing," she replied, the grin she sported growing even wider.

 "Uh-huh." The corner of his mouth twitched.
